Nike SB has gone through a storied history with its evolution of their shoe box designs (not to mention some shoe innovation here and there too). Nike has rolled out a series of SB Dunk models to celebrate the history of their celebrated shoe vessels. The Nike SB Dunk “Black Box” (also referred to as the “Purple Box”) features a black upper made up of nubuck, flat leather and ostrich leather for the toe box. We see metallic silver hits of piping along the outlines of the leather blocking and purple haze laces provide a pop of color. The shoe box icon is located on the side of the shoe near the heel like we’ve seen on the other SB Dunk “Box” models. This model is finished off with a translucent outsole underneath a solid black rubber midsole.
