For their next SS17 collab iteration, adidas and White Mountaineering are back at it again with the almost complete redesign of the NMD R2. The adidas NMD R2 x White Mountaineering in “Collegiate Navy” is about as far removed from the original silhouette we’ve seen to date.

The most distinguished feature of this shoe is the three bold white stripes that wrap the navy PrimeKnit upper from outward midfoot to inner toe. Of course the stripes are branded with White Mountaineering and adidas similar to collabs in the past. The rest of the upper is decorated with black frames for stability and a unique heel cover with underlying adidas trefoil. More WM is present on the heel pull tab. Like other R2’s the signature NMD bumpers have been absorbed into the full length boost sole with the exception of the interior heel unit.

This release is a two part shot with another colorway in all black. Releasing March 2, the WM NMD R2 will see limited stores stateside.
