Air Jordan 3 OG "True Blue" 2016
$220
STYLE CODE: 854262-106
The Air Jordan 3 True Blue first released back in 1988 alongside three other original iconic colorways. The last time that we saw this colorway was back in 2011, but the 2016 release is a much bigger deal for Jordan fans with the legendary Nike Air on the back like they originally released in 1988. For this 2016 release we see a red inner tongue liner that is closer to the OG than the 2001 and 2011 versions with blue instead of red. Also for this 2016 pair we see Nike branding throughout on the insole, outsole, and heel. The 2001 and 2011 pairs both have Jordan branding instead of Nike branding.
The Jordan 3 is a sneaker that is extremely coveted among most sneakerheads because of its place in history of the evolution of sneakers. The lower cut of the shoe was a revolutionary thing at the time, and also during the rise of Air Max technology. The elephant print hits on the legendary model should not be understated. This was a major head turner at the time for a basketball shoe. The model is an all time great due to the design alone, but after MJ hit the dunk from the free-throw line while wearing the white cement’s, well the rest is history.
