Nike helps Kevin Durant continue to pay tribute to his late Aunt Pearl who passed away from lung Cancer in 2001. The Nike KD 9 “Aunt Pearl” features a black and hot punch flyknit upper changing up the blatent pink and white themes we’ve seen on past models. A bright hot punch colored swoosh on the sides contrasts from the mostly black upper on the shoe. On the inside of the shoe we see hot punch colored insoles with writing that makes out “Kay Yow Cancer Fund… When life kicks you, let it kick you forward.” The shoe is finished off with a full air max unit in the midsole and a black rubber outsole underneath.
