There are theories floating around that Nike is trying to capitalize off of Keven Durant’s decision to take his talents to the Bay Area with colorways that suggest a villain status, like this Nike Zoom KD 9 “Triple Black”. Regardless of what you choose to believe, Nike could definitely be capitalizing off of the move based on market alone. There’s no doubt that the Warriors market base is much larger with a West Coast home, compared to Oklahoma.

The “Triple Black” KD is dressed in an all black flyknit upper with a black swoosh, midsole, outsole and laces. The all black silhouette has always been a staple in Nike Basketball sneakers dating back to the 90’s when things really started to take off for on-court shoes. Despite previously underwhelming sales in Oklahoma City, it will be interesting to see what Nike will do with the KD line now that Kevin is going to be playing in a much larger market.
